Duare Sarkar: Bringing Government Services to the Doorsteps of People in Bengal with 4 New Projects

The Duare Sarkar program implemented by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal has brought government services closer to the people's doorsteps, eliminating the need for individuals to stand in long queues at government offices. Through this initiative, the government has set up numerous Duare Sarkar camps across the state, where citizens can access various government scheme facilities and services without having to travel to government offices.

With the upcoming Panchayat Election, a new government camp will be held in Duar from April 1 to April 10, where citizens can avail themselves of various services, including Kanyashree, Shikshashree, Food Sathi, Health Sathi, Laksheer Bhandar, Rupshree, caste certificate, and various government scholarships. Additionally, four new projects will be introduced during this government camp, namely, Medashree Scholarship Scheme, Future Credit Card, Application for Disability Certificate, and Application for Government Financial Assistance for Sprinkler Irrigation.

The Medhasree Scholarship Scheme will provide an annual allowance of Rs. 800 to OBC students, while the Future Credit Card Scheme will allocate Rs. 350 crore in the budget to provide low-interest loans of up to Rs. 5 lakh to 2 lakh youths who are taking the initiative to set up small, micro and medium industries in the state. The Application for Disability Certificate scheme will enable any disabled person in the state to apply for a certificate at the Duare Sarkar Camp, while the Application for Government Financial Assistance for Sprinkler Irrigation will offer financial assistance of about Rs. 1 lakh 75 thousand to farmers interested in the Spinkler Irrigation Project.

In sum, the Duare Sarkar program has proven to be a game-changer in West Bengal, with citizens no longer having to travel to government offices to avail themselves of essential services. With the addition of four new schemes, the government is further expanding its reach and providing much-needed assistance to the people of West Bengal.
