Medhashree Scholarship – State Government's new scholarship, the government will bear the education expenses of lakhs of students.

 The government of West Bengal has implemented numerous projects for the education and financial assistance of underprivileged students. The Medhashree Scheme Scholarship 2023 is one such initiative that aims to provide financial aid to OBC students from class V to VIII. The scheme offers a scholarship of Rs 800 per year and can be availed by students who meet certain criteria.



To be eligible for the Medhashree Scholarship Scheme, the applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal and belong to the OBC category. Additionally, the applicant must be a regular student of any Central or State board recognized school or educational institution in West Bengal. The annual family income should not exceed two and a half lakh rupees. Students who have already received pre-matric scholarship from any other government scheme are not eligible to apply.

The application process for the Medhashree Scheme Scholarship 2023 requires the student to have a valid bank account with Core Banking Facility (CBS) and an active mobile number. The necessary documents for application include exam marksheet, OBC certificate, residential certificate, income certificate, Aadhaar card, color photo, and bank account details.

To apply for the Medhashree Scholarship, the applicant needs to login to the official website of Medhashree and select the School Level option. The specific district, sub division, block or municipality, and school name need to be selected, and the user ID and password must be provided. After clicking on the All Application List, the Fresh Application option will appear, and the applicant needs to fill out the form with all the necessary details. After submitting the form, the application process is complete.

Under the Medhashree Scheme Scholarship, around 2 lakh 63 thousand OBC students are expected to receive financial assistance. However, the scholarship is only available once in a class, and students who fail and repeat the same class will not be eligible for the scholarship in the second year.
