The West Bengal government has initiated a project aimed at creating employment and new businesses in the state. With the aim of supporting the unemployed and facilitating financial development, the state government is offering direct financial support for small businesses and start-ups. This scheme is intended to help those who cannot sustain a business with minimal capital, as well as those who struggle to obtain loans from banks.
Under the scheme, the government will provide financial assistance of up to 10 lakh rupees to support businesses including rice mills, oil mills, spices, cakes, pastries, bread, bakery items, vegetables, honey, mushrooms, and milk. This financial support will come with a certain amount of subsidy, which will be given in two successive installments.
The government will continue to support businesses that grow and create employment, and any kind of cooperation will be appreciated. This scheme is an initiative of the Department of Food Processing and Horticulture and is currently only available in rural areas.
The state government is also providing loans with government subsidies on easy terms. The aim of this project is to create new businesses and employment opportunities, leading to the financial development of the state.
