The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has implemented new rules for the Madhyamik Exam 2023 in order to ensure accuracy and transparency in the evaluation process. The Board President, Ramanuja Gangopadhyay, announced that the result will be released in the last week of May and that the board has initiated a five-step process to publish the results online. If any abnormalities are noticed in the roll numbers of the candidates, the answer sheets will be re-evaluated, and the marks obtained will be verified. The board aims to leave no loopholes in the evaluation process and wants to ensure that all students receive fair and correct marks.
The board has also informed examiners about the new rules, and they will scrutinize the answer sheets of around 41,000 examinees. The evaluation process will be completed in two phases, both of which will be conducted online to speed up the process of releasing the results. The board has taken these steps to ensure that no student faces any issues or problems during the evaluation process, and there is complete transparency in the results. The board wants to avoid any situations where students get low marks in a particular subject despite performing well in other subjects, and the board will take initiatives to avoid such issues in the future.
The board has implemented these rules after observing that sometimes candidates do not go through the answer sheet scrutiny or review process, and as a result, due to the negligence of the examiners, the marks obtained by the candidates are not accurate. Therefore, to avoid such situations, the board has decided to give utmost importance to the evaluation process, and all students will receive fair and correct marks. The board's initiative is also aimed at preventing any complaints or finger-pointing towards the board from students or the opposition. Overall, the board is committed to conducting the Madhyamik Exam with the highest standards of accuracy, transparency, and fairness.
